Project Statement: Telling Vision, 2008- present
Since 2008 I have been documenting the demise of the tube t.v. As people purchase flat screens, their old tube tv’s find themselves obsolete and on the curb side. I photograph these trashed tv’s on my cell phone when I chance upon them.
When Christina Freeman invited me to participate in 365 Days for Dieter, this collection of images came to mind as the perfect set to work as homage to Dieter Roth. These ‘found images’ have been decalled onto old plates off of which we plan to eat DR’s 85th Birthday Cake on April 21st !
